Special SAFILM ‘Colossal Youth’ Screening at Drafthouse

Following its sold-out world premiere at last year’s SAFILM, the shot-in-San Antonio Colossal Youth is making a special one-day return engagement at the Alamo Drafthouse on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m.

Colossal Youth is a terrific example of the kind of films that are being made right here in the Alamo City.

Colossal Youth tells the story of four friends Ryder (Troy Osterberg), Greg (Riker Lynch), Erica (Kimmy Caruso) and Jordan (Reese Everett Ryan) as they navigate life, love and the wild and crazy times of high school. Ryder is a hopeless romantic, and when his dream girl obsession Siobhan (Alexa Dowd) returns to school, he goes for broke trying to win her heart. His pursuits lead him to rock bottom, but it’s there that he realizes that his real love has been beside him all along.

Colossal Youth is a terrific example of the kind of films that are being made right here in the Alamo City,” said SAFILM f0under Adam Rocha. “We’re so pleased to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the San Antonio Film Festival with this special Drafthouse screening.”

There will be a special live Q&A following the film with director R. Scott Leisk and selected cast. The screening will be held at the Alamo Drafthouse Park North, 618 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78216; phone 210-677-8500.
