‘Who Were the Aztecs?’ Free Special Event Oct. 10
The Guadalupe Latino Bookstore & Gift Shop staff is excited to present Who Were the Aztecs?: an interactive workshop for curious minds of all ages on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Local Mexican American Studies (MAS) educator Michael Dominguez will lead the presentation.
Travel more than 500 years into the past to experience the last great civilization of Mesoamerica. This workshop is open to everyone and will focus on interesting aspects of Aztec civilization.
Come learn about the culture, language, practices, and empire of the pre-Columbian people whose capital lies beneath Mexico City.
Mr. Dominguez brings passion and cultural authenticity to his role as a MAS educator, drawing from his rich background in social studies education and deep commitment to engagement.
He encourages people to be active participants instead of passive observers. As a teacher, mentor, and advocate for his students both in and out of the classroom, he teaches and preaches history to all.
