At 10:00 a.m. on Thurs., Feb. 14, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center will present a free Seniors Valentine’s Day Concert for the elders in the community. This special morning performance will feature the award-winning Mariachi Azteca de América.
“People are used to listening to mariachi music in restaurants, bars or at private gatherings,” said musical director Gino Rivera. “But rarely do you get to experience a full-length mariachi concert in a venue like the Guadalupe Theater.”
Made possible by the support of United Healthcare and Gonzaba Medical Group, this performance is provided free of charge to members of the senior community.
“We recently had a wonderful concert performance with Mariachi Azteca de América at the theater,” said the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center’s Executive Director, Cristina Balli. “We know that it’s sometimes difficult for elders in the community to make it out to evening performances, so we decided to offer a special morning concert for seniors and share this celebration of music and culture with them.”
Rarely do you get to experience a full-length mariachi concert in a venue like the Guadalupe Theater.
